At 17 cents per pound, or meal, Destin Harvest distributes over 80,000 pounds of food to 43 feeding programs in Okaloosa and Walton County every month.
Fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, meats, breads, pastries, and nonperishable are all staples of Destin Harvest’s deliveries to soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, food giveaways, and similar local feeding efforts. These agencies collectively feed thousands of hardworking families, children, retired veterans, and the elderly every week in our shared Northwest Florida communities.
Destin Harvest’s deliveries are truly a lifeblood to those suffering from food insecurity in Okaloosa and Walton County.

Some of the success stories
Local Churches that Freely Feed the CommunityMany of the programs that DH provides free foods to are local churches that work directly with the homeless, at-risk, and food insecure families and individuals in Okaloosa and Walton County. These faith-based programs do not require their recipients to attend a service, or initiate in any form of service, to receive a free food package.
Soup Kitchens and VeteransEvery soup kitchen, food pantry, and food give away program DH provides free foods to, directly serves homeless and at-risk veterans, and their family members.
Programs that Serve Children, Programs that Serve the ElderlyDestin Harvest distributes free foods to local agencies that designate services exclusively to at risk and food insecure children. Similarly, DH makes deliveries to elderly specific programs such as Meals on Wheels in Fort Walton Beach.
